One worry is this: What if the universe came into existence less than a thousand years ago? But maybe we can suppose by essentiality of origins that then you couldn't have existed, and so p, which reports an action of yours, wouldn't be true. Or maybe we can work within the context of laws that require an infinite past. The question of free will, anyway, shouldn't hang on such things.
